Our CEO
Robert is a seasoned banking and finance professional with over 33 years of experience in credit risk management, trade finance, corporate banking, and strategic planning. As the Founder & CEO of Reed Group, he leads financial training and consultancy across East Africa, with clients including KCB, ABSA, FSD Africa, and Swisscontact.
Robert’s career includes senior leadership roles at Standard Chartered Bank and Co-operative Bank, where he pioneered Basel II risk compliance frameworks, compliance and AML functions, and structured trade finance products.
He is an advocate for sustainable finance and has trained regional institutions in green economy, climate finance, and enterprise-wide risk management. Robert is widely regarded as a thought leader shaping the future of financial sector training in Africa.
Our COO
Darlington is an accomplished banking and finance professional with over 32 years of experience spanning credit management, trade finance, corporate banking, SME banking, consumer banking and sustainable finance. As Co- Founder and Senior Consultant at Reed Training, he has led high- impact consultancy and training engagements with banks, SACCOs, and development finance institutions across Kenya, Tanzania, and Burundi.
His career includes senior leadership roles at Commercial Bank of Africa, Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Barclays Bank of Kenya, where he successfully built and managed credit analysis teams, developed trade finance products, managed credit functions for SME and consumer banking and oversaw multi-billion-shilling lending portfolios.
Darlington has designed and delivered bespoke training programs in credit risk, SME banking, trade finance, and portfolio management for institutions such as Sidian Bank, I&M Bank, HFC, Middle East Bank, Unaitas, and FSD Africa. He has also contributed to policy and product development, including agency banking strategies, credit policies, and sustainable financing frameworks.
A thought leader in the region’s financial sector, Darlington combines technical expertise with practical insights from decades of frontline banking and training experience. He is passionate about building resilient institutions through capacity development, sustainable finance, and effective credit risk management.
